Why one should Take Carb Cycle Diets

Carb cycle diet is regarded as a robust tool in shedding fat. Actually, it is the top secret of most fitness models in keeping their body fit and in shape.

While this method has been used mainly by professionals in the fitness industry, there’s hardly any reason why it can’t be used by anyone in the fight against the pounds. That said, there is a right way and wrong way to cycle your carbs. I am going to inform you the proper way.

Benefits of carb cycling:

- Allows you to break through a plateau. Sometimes, after a long period of training with very little variation, your body stops adapting to exercise. By cycling your carbs, you allow your body the jolt necessary to break through your plateau.

- Helps deal with cravings. By managing your cravings, you can stick with your diet. It’s like always having a light after the tunnel.

- Is one of the only ways to get to single-digit amounts of excess fat.

- Restores the hormones that regulate your metabolism, appetite, and the starvation mode while on a reduced-calorie diet.

Carb cycle diets entirely function while you are currently on a calorie deficit. That is, eating less calories per day than you need to keep your bodyweight. Even if you are cycling your carbs, if you do not eat the right quantity, you won’t lose significant amount of weight.

The Best Carb Cycle Diet:

For it to be really effective, there should be an alternate low and high carbohydrate consumption. In my experience, the most effective version of the carb cycle diet is 3 low-carb days then one high carb day. Sample:

Day 1 – Low Carb (50-100 carbs)

Day 2 – Low Carb (50-100 carbs)

Day 3 – Low Carb (50-100 carbs)

Day 4 – High Carb (1-1.5 grams of carbs per pound of bodyweight)

You only need to repeat this and notice how it works for your weight. You can optionally increase your protein intake on days 1-3 if you don’t want to have a reduction in total daily calories. Yet, there are better results when you have slight decrease in calories.

I haven’t posted exact values of carbs to be eaten per day because it’s a little different for everybody. I couldn’t tell exactly what you need every day. If you’d like to find out the most accurate way to find out your ideal carb intake, take a look at this program.

It is also better not to be on a carb cycle diet over couple of weeks. This is because you may have more damage in lieu of good results in slimming down since your metabolism will be struggling. Still, carbs are not at all bad! It is still required as it fuels the body.
